I never plant anything up here until Mother's Day. Last year we had great April weather and I got fooled, planted annuals the first week of May and lost them all to a hard frost. Never again. And to the locals who say late snows are poor man's fertilizers, I say: I'd rather have to do the fertilizing myself!
